I was expecting more flavor. The claim that its roasted. The black pieces shown in the jar helped sell me. But they are hard black pieces that stick to my teeth. I don’t want to even swallow them. I took three spoon fulls. There’s some flavor but I kept spitting up large hard black pieces. I will finish the opened can. But I wouldn’t feel comfortable taking them to work or giving the remaining unopened jar as a gift. I’ve been down and had them very fresh in old Mesilla at Billy the kid . I used to live in New Mexico and missed the ability to get great tasting chili. When I saw this post I decided to try it and was not disappointed! Now living on the eastern side of the US I can now get that great taste I’ve missed for so long.

Big Jim is beyond great!
I've been ordering from the Fresh Chile Company for years and truly enjoying the mild and medium chiles. I didn't think it could get any better, but I was wrong. The Big Jims are fabulous! They are the perfect heat, and slightly sweet - the true green chile flavor I remember from when I lived in New Mexico. They are really the best, do yourself a favor and get some!
