This was the first time I'd had NuMex Sweet Onions. Unbelievably good. I grew up in South Carolina and remember when Vidalia Onions became a thing. In my opinion, the NuMex Sweet is better than the Vidalia. The texture is better. The flavor is better. We've used them raw; made onion rings; used them in every way imaginable and they were really good every time. Very glad we made this purchase!

Every onion was fresh and came nicely boxed. They are a milder onions with a nice sweetness to them. I've used them in enchiladas, soup, on sandwiches and still have a few left 2 weeks later in excellent condition. Will definitely buy again.

When I first got them I thought just like Texas 1015 onions. Boy was I wrong. These have better flavor and slice nice. I gave some to my friends and they said they never had anything like this. We were disappointed that the onions, although very fresh, were not any different that onions we purchase from the grocery store. We were expecting them be the the really sweet mild onions that we used to have when we visited Las Cruces years ago.
NuMex sweet onions are terrific. Bought 10 pounds just try them out and they are slightly more heat than Vidalia but much more flavorful. We love them but freight is a prohibitive from New Mexico to North Carolina!

I received my onions today and they smelled so good! I took one out and sliced it and it was so sweet that it was delicious. Just eating it raw! I would definitely buy these onions again. When he said he would put them up against Vidaila any day, I thought well I would definitely try them and I’m so glad I did. They are as good or better.

I ordered the onions and never received. Spoke to someone that was going to send red onion to replace and again I never received them. I have been calling customer service and never been able to speak to anyone.

Who would think there’s a difference of flavor in sweet onions? I had just bought a 5# bag of 1015 sweet onions from my grocery store the day before I ordered the Nu-Mex Sweet Hatch Onions. Needless to say, I gave away all of the 1015s after I ate my first Nu-Mex. They are wonderful!!! I eat them raw or steam them or put them on the grill. Yum!!!

Great in salsa, pico de gallo, grilled on the flat top for smashed burgers and roasted in the oven with olive oil, salt and black pepper. Planning on making Hatch Onion soup next.

Bad customer service
I ordered them from a Facebook ad on July 2nd. 1st time discount price of $10.20. Original shipping price was $7.26. Once I completed the order it showed I was charged $17.26 for shipping making the total #$27.26 for 10 lbs. of onions. The ad said 1-7 business days. When I called on the 10th asking about delivery the gal was very rude and acted like I was a bother. I didn't receive my onions for another 5 days. The flavor and quality are no different than the Vidalia onions I can buy at our local market for $1.25 @ lb. I will not buy again nor will I recommend.
Hatch onions/Hatch Papa's salsa
The onions are excellent! Great flavor! I made spaghetti, lasagna, potato salad, egg and tuna sandwiches to name a few. What I haven't used is now in the freezer. Didn't want to waste any. Also purchased Papa's mild salsa. Will be great for people who don't want a lot of heat. Love the flavor, great for chips and chili but I need a little more kick. This was my first purchase so next time will purchase medium. Thanks for your excellent products.

Visalia onions are sweet but do not hold up well in long cooked dishes. Yellow onions hold up well but can be a bit harsh. Which is why many people rinse the onions before adding them to a dish. Especially delicate dishes. Desert Gold are sweet but not as sweet as Vidalia. They are not as harsh as yellow onions. And the Desert Gold onions are sturdy and hold up well.
Fantastic Hatch Onions
The onions are absolutely delicious…raw sliced thin on a sandwich Or especially a burger; great cooked in dishes or sautéed to add to a dish! I’m thoroughly enjoying them. Thanks for the wonderful product. I know this is negative, but it took a full 7 days to get from Las Cruces to me….via Phoenix of all places! I kept tracking and worrying that they would be rotten by the time I got them. They were not and are resting well in my cool pantry!

I got a box last Friday and have really enjoyed the taste and texture every day. A thick slice of these Onions on a homemade Pure Green Chile Cheeseburger is ambrosia on a plate with fries covered with Hatchup. The onion is just right and doesn't overpower the taste.
